Design And Implementation Of Digital Resource Service Ability Evaluation System Of University Library

As the society of knowledge and economy keeps developmenting, the knowledgeinnovation has become the main driving force in the progress of social evolution.Knowledge innovation is based on the collection and development of the knowledgeresouce, it needs the basic knowledge serverice which comes from intelligence resourcesupply institutions such as the library. The digital library is the digital resource supplyinfrastructure which plays very important role in the society, needs the scientificevaluation for the service ability of the digital resource immediately.Based on the digital library in colleges and universities, this thesis analyses thepowerful features of the data using computer information technology, designs andimplements a digital evaluation system on the resource service ability of universitydigital library. First of all, the thesis establishes a evaluation hierarchy which needs tostart the evaluation work. Due to the digital library services are based on the users’perspective, the users are the service object. So, the scientific, practical and instructionalindex system must be based on user satisfaction; the second step, around the statisticalevaluation work which guided by the index of evaluation system, the system whichowns collecting, storing and analysis function is set up, it is based on ASP.NETframework to achieve the main function of the questionnaires and online exam; the thirdstep, through the system test and Taizhou college of Nanjing normal university fieldevaluation, to test the operation condition and the evaluation results about the digitallibrary; Finally, by analyzing the actual situation compared with the evaluation resultsof the digital library, to analyze the credibility of the system evaluation results.This main work of this thesis is as follow, first, to start from the users’ angle, theconstitute of digital resource service capability in digital library are analysis, the serviceevaluation methods are researched, the evaluation index hierarchy is built by thedimensions and levels. Second, to analyse the functional requirements, performancerequirements, the database demand of the system, and to design the system structure,the main modules and the operation process design of the system. Third, it is completedfrom a database table and data access, to the main function implementation. Fourth, thesystem main functions are tested, to see the running status of the system, and the fieldevaluation is done in real digital library, to anaylse what whether the evaluation results is suitable to the actual situation. Through the establishment of digital resource serviceability evaluation index hierarchy in university digital library, the design andimplementation of the system, the thesis gets the following conclusion: only to startform the users’ angle to establish the evaluation index hierarchy, the evaluation resulthas the meaning of guiding significance in the process of improving the digital libraryservice ability. The system’s main functions which questionnaires and online test canrun in good condition; from the perspective of the analysis results, the system can beused as a new way to evaluate the digital library digital resource service ability.
