With the global heating soft power competition, the countries around the wholeworld is more and more focusing on its own construction and self growth of softcompetitiveness. Responding to the call of heat national soft power construction,more and more English Channels are flourishing at rapid speed, with intendency ofstriving for initiative in global communication, and building our own image bydelivering out our own voices in the language with which the western audiences arefamiliar.It has been20years since our first English Channel. How are the Channelsgoing right now, are they be able to handle the big responsibilities of transmittingvoices and opinions and building national image via self channels? That is a questionwhich connects with the influences and effectiveness of the English Channels. Sayingof the effectiveness, we can not avoid talking about the core competitive ability, whilethe two are so closely linked.This essay is trying to measure the core competitive ability of China EnglishChannels by using below methods as literature reviewing,comparing and analyzing,individual case studying and analyzing with conclusion, based on the grounding ofenterprise core competitive ability theory.Via this theoretical study, this essay willmainly focus on the research of International Channel of Shanghai. By deliberating onthe two core index of core competitiveness, core competitive resources and abilities,this essay will try to find the advantage of the channel and identify the weakness too.Based on this, this essay will try to propose some thoughts and suggestions to helpcontribute some ideas about keeping a healthy and long stable growth of the channel.
