With the rapid development of e-science and computer science, the monitoringtechnology continues to evolve and innovate. Monitoring technology is no longer a singlesensor and data processing, but a combination of a variety of technologies towards intelligentdirection. With the social and economic development of our country, people’s concern for theenvironment is also growing, but China’s environmental monitoring technology is laggingbehind, the shortcomings of the monitoring area is small, a single detection technology hasbeen unable to meet the growing needs. The air quality is an important indicator of theenvironment. Mainly expresses outdoor air quality, indoor air quality, air quality in areas ofthe plant, and air quality in certain areas (such as car air quality). The air quality monitoring isan important part of environmental monitoring; good air quality monitoring device is anecessary means to improve air quality. There are many air quality elements such astemperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, NO2, SO2, CO, TSP, PM2.5and so on. Addressthe problem and the basis of analysis of domestic and international air quality monitoringtechnology, and combined with the actual conditions of China, the design of the remote airquality monitoring system based on LabVIEW is proposed, it collects temperature andhumidity, barometric pressure, particulate matter data, and transmit through GPRS wirelessnetwork.In this paper, the main research contents the data collection of temperature, humidity, airpressure, CO, NO2, SO2, etc., GPRS wireless transmission, real-time display and store. Thesystem selects the required sensors and GPRS module, and designed monitoring sensor circuit.The system’s software design includes the design of the entire hardware part of the softwaredesign and the LabVIEW host computer monitoring center software.Monitoring stations uses MSP430F149and SIM300C, composed of GPRS data terminal,including serial communication module, data acquisition module, data transmission module.Monitoring Center monitoring software is written in LabVIEW, contains the main design ofTCP/IP-based communication module data communication terminal.
