Water plant remote monitoring system is an important part of the water supply system,which undertakes to send the water to the reservoir of the water plant, and realizes thecontrol functions for on-site equipment in the distance. The water sources have shown arising trend, and have been extended to areas far away from the city, especially in remotedesert areas. Therefore, in order to improve the social function of the water supply system,designing water plant remote monitoring system is imperative using the means of moderntechnology and advanced communication technology.The water plant of Dalateqi in Erdos has numerous water sources, its distribution rangeis wide, and its geographical condition is bad, which has high demands to the system.Meanwhile, The Phase II Project of water plant is about to start, which requires the systemhas good scalability. This paper designed the water plant remote monitoring system based onLabVIEW and the PLC according to this actual situation of Daqi water plant. This papercompleted the following works: According to the actual situation of the distribution of watersources are numerous and scattered and the inconvenience of wiring, this paper Proposedwater plant remote monitoring system based on wireless LAN on the basis of comparison ofa variety of wireless communication; Wireless LAN of monitoring system affected by theenvironment will generate an interrupt, in order to improve the reliability of system, thissystem used the the GPRS network to complement for the wireless LAN; According to therequirements of control system, selected field devices and used PLC to realize site control.Used the visual programming language LabVIEW programming on the upper computer torealize the remote monitoring function; In accordance with the system program, set up theexperimental platform, modified and perfected the procedures of the upper and lowermachine; installed and debugged the site equipment.The results show that, the water plant remote monitoring system based on wirelessnetwork of this paper could monitor the power parameters of supply system of water supplyonline real-timely, including phase voltage, line voltage, phase current, active power and soon. It could monitor the working status of pumps real-timely; suitable for centralized controlof water supply in remote desert having adverse circumstances, and has good scalability. Thesystem improved the efficiency of the workers, reduced the losses brought by the failure inpractical applications, and plays a vital role in remote monitoring of the water plant.
