Research On Digital Design Platform And Application In Die Cutting Machine

Design, analysis, manufacture and test are usually uncontinuous in the manufacturingprocess. The system could not achieve automated transfer and exchanged information.Different departments realize data sharing is quite difficult. It is known as "Data Island"problem. Product development and process are inconvenient because of design andmanufacture data duplication, loss, version confusion and multiple data bases coexistence.Product data management, storage and transfer lack of unified management and maintenanceseriously. Building a digital design platform and making it integrated with CAD/CAE is thekey to improve virtual design and analysis management. It can greatly improve the systemefficiency, shorten product development cycles and increase productivity. But to ourdisappointment, the digital design technology is not widely researched on and the digitaldesign platform is not widely applied in the manufacturing process in our country.Based on the grand science and technology special project of research of numerical highspeed multi-axis printing and die cutting machine and digital design technology, this thesisaims at building a digital design platform integrated with CAD/CAE by adopting digitaldesign technology. The modeling and simulation function of the digital design platform isintroduced by the design of the die cutting part of NT23. The application of digital designplatform in the design process of die cutting machine enables the digital management. Besides,the data management and transfer of die cutting devices’ design problem can also get somehints from this thesis.In summary, the digital design platform is researched on and an application example isgiven in this thesis. The die cutting part is parametric designed and finite element analyzed.What is more, the design and development of the same integrated system can get someguidance and experience from this digital design platform.
