Research On University Library To Participate In The Community Of Public Cultural Services

Along with social progress and economic development, the masses’ demands ofculture are more and more high. At the moment, our country is vigorously developing thepublic culture, and enhancing the development of the public cultural service. But yet atpresent public cultural facilities is not very perfect. The constructions of the public libraryand the community library are very pinch. The university libraries have the rich literatureinformation resources, professional teams, good hardware facilities and professionaltechnical advantages. At the same time, The government encourages university libraryparticipating in the public cultural services. This paper mainly describes about theuniversity library participating in the community public cultural services.The article is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter mainly discusses thebackground, significance, research situation at home and abroad, the article’s researchideas and method, innovation point. The second chapter overviews the community publicculture service. It describes the related concepts of community public cultural services,community services and community public cultural services and community publiccultural service contents and characteristics. The third chapter emphatically discusses thenecessity and feasibility of the university library participating in the community publiccultural services from four respects. University libraries have abundant literatureinformation resources, professional personnel, advanced technology and facilities andgood environment. these can fully participate in community public cultural services, solvecommunity public cultural service that can’t meet the need of the status quo, promotecommunity development and prosperity, but also the embodiment of the social functionsof college libraries and the needs of the development of self, is building a learningcommunity, a conservation-minded society, the need of building a harmonious society.The fourth and fifth chapter point out the status, problems and solutions of the universitylibrary participating in the community public cultural service. University libraryparticipating in community public cultural service has many problems, such as collegesand universities lack of awareness, lack of legal basis, internal and external conflict, lackof service awareness, shortage of funds, and clashes with other services. Aiming at theseproblems, puts forward the corresponding countermeasures, and introduces some kinds ofmodes of university library to participate in community public cultural services.The sixthchapter builds the mode of cloud library which concording the university library and public library in local for public cultural service.
