The integration of the world economy, market globalization and the rapid developmentof information technology makes the supply chain management became the mainmanagement mode for modern enterprises. As an important tache in supply chainmanagement, distribution is not only the mark to measure the level of supply chainmanagement, more importantly, it is the determinants of the competition capability of supplychain. For these reasons, reasonable construction of distribution network is the effective wayto improve customer satisfaction, enhance the competition capability of enterprises and makeenterprises in an impregnable position.This thesis summarized the research situation of distribution network at home and abroad,and stated the purpose and significance of research on this subject, introduced the theoreticalbasis of supply chain distribution network and genetic algorithm, meanwhile, expounded theprinciples, cost factors and contents of distribution network optimization. Aim at the twomain contents of distribution network optimization, this thesis focuses on the two issues:(1) Facility Location. The thesis analyzed particularly the various cost factors of supplychain distribution network optimization, including distribution center fixed costs, inventorycarrying costs, ordering costs, shortage costs, the transportation costs from manufactory todistribution center and from distribution center to the distribution, established the distributionnetwork optimization model which goal was to minimize the total cost. And improved thestandard genetic algorithm in order to solve the model of the thesis, finally, used a example toverify the validity of the model and algorithm.(2) Transportation Planning. This thesis studied the transportation planning problem ofdistribution network, introduced five kinds of transportation network model and it’sadvantages and disadvantages, and discussed the various problems that need to weigh whenmaking transportation decisions, the economy-matrix algorithm was used to solve the shortestpath problem of transportation network which was constrained by the delivery time, with thepurpose of helping enterprises to make reasonable transportation decision and reducetransportation costs.The supply chain distribution network optimization problem that this thesis had studiedcan help enterprises to strengthen the coordination and management of distribution tache,effectively reduce the cost of distribution tache, and raise the level of customer satisfaction,So as to enhance the competition capability of enterprises in the market.
