The Verification Of USIM Core Based On Specman

In this paper, we describe the structure and design method of automatic verification platform based on SPECMAN, which is used to verify the USIM IP core function, to detect the simulation results automatically, as well as to collect coverage information. In the specific process of building a test bench, following SPECMAN authentication method, we completed test bench designing of the USIM IP core and functional verification, a large number of random excitation is applied to complete regression testing. We have got the ultimate aim of nearly100%functional coverage and code coverage, which ensures the completeness of the verification.For the specific design practice, the certified third-party verification environment (Verisity Design Company AHB eVC) is applied to simulate the AHB bus behavior, we introduce reference model checking mechanism for the detection of the UART data transmission. When verifying the USIM register system, we introduce the Verisity Company’s register and memory Package, it provides the solution that automatically setting and verifying the registers behavior and memory units, Assertion is used to checking the timing of special signals. As a result, the complexity and workload have been reduced. Ultimately, we achieve the quality of industrial grade. At the same time, we work on external UICC eVC development and built up the automatic detection mechanism. All the work make our test bench perfect.
