Since1895the first automobile tires appeared in France,it has through more thanone hundred years. The last century Sixties,In order to solve the stability problem oftire under high-speed operation we developed the low cross section tire.By the end ofthe Eighties, Radial tire has become the mainstream product of tire industry. With thedevelopment of expressway and automobile industry,user demands higher quality ofSemi steel radial tire. In addition to the requirements of tire durable, also requires thetire must have good speed, operation stability and ride comfort. Therefore, thesemi-steel radial tire must have good uniformity and balance. In order to get theperformance requirements,the tension control for JLB is particularly important, itmust have a brand new tire structure design, also need to have advancedmanufacturing equipment to achieve.This research is based on a simple adaptive control algorithm. In view of tensioncontrol system which is a nonlinear, time-varying, large disturbances, unmodeleddynamics characteristics for JLB winding. we make the research based on the simplePID adaptive algorithm.First of all, compare two kinds of methods of tension control. Study on theinfluence factors of tension in the winding process, and design tension controlprogram which is based on this study. In the procedure,we using simple adaptive PIDalgorithm for JLB tension closed loop control. To improve the robustness of thesystem, eliminates the tension fluctuation which is because of external factors andparameter changes. At the same time use of electronic cam control mode to realizethe accurately positioning of JLB winding trajectory. In order to meet the requirementof JLB winding device in semi steel tire building machine.Secondly, according to the needs of the use and the requirements of end users, weused the LABVIEW platform of virtual instrument on PC screen preparation. Toachieve the whole device parameter input, equipment monitoring, fault alarm and faultdiagnosis functions.Finally, according to the design scheme, research and development of the semisteel tire building machine machine for JLB winding device. After the trial,thewinding tension in the process of control is achieved the user requirements. Productquality has been further improved, and the equipment is using.
