In the film,steel rolling,paper rolls,lithium battery core production and other industries,the control of the tension of the winding//unwinding system is the most basic and important.In the running of the Winding/Unwinding system,the material diameter of the coil is constantly changing,the winding motor diameter is increasing continuously,the unwinding motor diameter of the roll is decreasing continuously.Especially in the process of system speed and deceleration,the mathematical model of the system will change greatly.It is difficult to obtain a more accurate model expression.As a result,tension control under the conventional control algorithm,such as PID control,often make the system speed changes when the error is too large,resulting in excessive control force,resulting in a large overshoot,it is difficult to meet the dynamic operation requirements and product quality requirements.The Model Reference Adaptive Control modifies the controller parameters online according to the system response performance,and has a proper "transition process".the system does not directly take the set value as the following target,so that the system does not produce too large overshoot.Taking the prototype of Siemens Winding/Unwinding system in laboratory as the research object,this paper first analyzed the structure of the Winding/Unwinding system,constructed the communication topology based on OPC protocol,and took it as a real-time communication system for the exchange of data between the Simulink control software and PLC of the host computer.Then,the mathematical model of torque and tension of the Winding/Unwinding system is deduced by using the dynamic modeling method.Then,according to the characteristics of coupling disturbance in the model,a controller based on the adaptive algorithm of Reference model is designed.Finally,simulation and experimental verification are carried out,and the simulation results show that the design method can effectively reduce the problem of excessive tension fluctuation in system startup and speed deceleration,and the adaptive Control algorithm is implemented with Simulink and used to control the Winding/Unwinding system.From the actual operation results of the system,it is shown that the algorithm has better effect on the tension of the control system than the PID algorithm.
