The developed Simple Adaptive Control Algorithm based on adaptive control have some features such as structure simple,system design is almost nothing to do with the controlled object and so on. System performance are related to the selected reference model, and in the industrial process control have broad prospects for development. In additional , the intelligent SAC integration of neutral networks based on the SAC is researched and in development, in order to meet the industrial production process of high-precision, high-quality control provides a realization method.At the present stage of industrial production process of complex control algorithms mainly rely on the CPU control chip to complete, However, consider the real-time and control cycle of the system, this is not the ideal choice for complex control algorithms. With the FPGA technology development and high-density, high-capacity FPGA devices appear, in the FPGA hardware implementation of complex control algorithms has been widely carried out.This article focuses on CMAC neural network reusable IP modules based on VHDL, CMACSAC controller FPGA implementations as well as the applications of the intelligent controller in cold rolling mill tension control system.First, I studied the CMAC neural network implementation method based on FPGA. Through a comprehensive analysis of direct address mapping CMAC neural network structure and algorithm, the direct address mapping CMAC neural network were simulated in the MATLAB platform, and then based on the Altera's FPGA chip, completed a CMAC neural network design of reusable IP blocks. Second, the control principle and structure of the diagram of the CMACSAC were given,and in the MATLAB platform ,the control effect of the CMACSAC was studied. and then based on the Altera's FPGA chip, the study of CMACSAC of the FPGA implementations was completed and the CMACSAC controller IP core was designed. Finally, the intelligent controller was applied to the tension control system, and make a MATLAB simulation, the simulation results show that the CMACSAC intelligent controller compared to the normal PID controller have better control effect. This study shows that: the CMACSAC controller combined by CMAC neural network and SAC has better control effect than the usually adaptive controllers. And the FPGA parallel processing ability inherent is a better carrier to achieve of complex control algorithms. The CMACSAC controller based on FPGA have advantages that design flexibility ,and can line adjustment, high reliability and short development cycle and so on.
