The Research Of Tension Controlling System Based On The Simple Adaptive Controller

The tension is an important part in the electric cable insulation plastic wrapping production. A good control performance can guarantee the outturn, and improve the productivity. In the late seventies 20 century, the scholar K.Sobel and H.Kaufman advanced a new direct adaptive control algorithm, simple adaptive control. Its construction is easy, and there are few adjustable parameters, the system control performance is only concerned with the reference models selected, but the system design has nothing to do with the object controlled, it can be used in the single variable system and multiple variable system, as well as the nonlinear system, thus it has a very broad development prospect in application in the industry process control.This study is based on the simple adaptive control algorithm, and operates against the tension control in the wrap reel system of the electric cable insulation plastic wrapping process. Because of the large time-variant, strong coupling and mix interference, the article studied in the simulation and appliance of the electric cable plastic wrapping constant tension control based on the simple adaptive controller.At first, the article analyses the factors that affect the tension variation in the roll-wrap process. After making comparison with the several tension control modes, aims at roll-wrap tension closed loop control, it brings in a new control strategy, i.e. indirect-direct composite control. In the stage of tension building, adopts circuit simple closed loop, achieve building speedily. In the stage of small tension adjusting, adopts the simple adaptive control algorithm to achieve the invariant tension closed loop control, and uses the simple adaptive control to enhancing the system robust performance, so as to eliminate the tension fluctuation brought by the change of parameter elimination.Then, uses the data acquisition circuit board with the PCI interface and the PC with the configuration software as the host control unit, combines the full digital D.C. timing device SIMOREG DC-MASTER 6RA70, and other peripheral equipments, makes the simulation and practical application study that against on the roll-wrap constant tension control system, the result shows that the control algorithm is effective and feasible.Finally, the article exploits the characteristic of the self-made ActiveX control component supported by the KINGVIEW configuration software, uses the Visual Basic developing algorithm control component, then the configuration software calls the control component, the host PC achieves double function of the administration and the control. Experiment results of the FESTO liquor level system shows that, this control method can assure the control performance. Also it provides advanced control method that applied in the actual production process with reference, and has very important practical meanings.
