With the development of cloud manufacturing and Internet of Thingstechnology, the development of the manufacturing will be more dependent on thenetwork, virtualization and networked of the manufacturing resource has becomeone of the prerequisites for enterprise based on the global market. In order to solvetracking management in manufacturing and carry out large-scale networkedmanufacturing, new requirements on the information management of manufacturingenterprise are proposed, especially in discrete manufacturing enterprise, there is stillgreat disparity compared with the process industry in the information managementlevel, it’s mainly due to in the discrete enterprise has more factors affecting themanagement and more difficult to control than the process industry.In addition, because of discrete manufacturing enterprise has many datas in theproduction management, real-time data acquisition and analysis and processing havebecome the bottleneck of the discrete manufacturing enterprise informationmanagement. Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology that graduallydeveloped in recent years can solve this problem, it can long-distance identify itemsautomatically and get relevant data in the electronic tag timely and accurately. As anadvanced automatic identification technology, RFID has the incomparableadvantage of other identification technology, it can help companies to reduce thephenomenon of short goods, inventory and out of stock, achieve differentiatedproduction, quickly and accurately get product information, unified management toreduce costs, improve management and operational efficiency.Based on the advantages of RFID technology, the article research and developthe tracking and management system of key components of discrete manufacturingbased on RFID. Through RFID to get the data generated in the manufacturingprocess and storage management processes of discrete manufacturing companies, itcan improve the meticulous management level of manufacturing process, and thenimprove the production efficiency and product quality, reduce worker’s laborintensity and operation time and the cost of production and inventory, maximize thecompanies’ interests. The main research contents are as follows:First of all, the subject background and research purpose and significance areintroduced, research status of inventory management and manufacturing process management and the application status of RFID technology at home and abroad aswell as in the discrete manufacturing industry are analyzed.Secondly, the composition and working principle of RFID are introduced, andthe management of the reader and middleware are gave emphasis to analyzed,RFID-based EPC network systems are studied, the common anti-collisiontechnology is intensively studied and choosed dynamic framed slotted ALOHAalgorithm according to enterprise’s requriments.Thirdly, workflow of RFID in the enterprise and enterprise information floware analyzed, and key technology of system is researched, including choice ofhardware, operating environment and interface way as well as the formulation of theencoding scheme.Then, according to the needs of the enterprise, establish the functional structureand architecture and network topology of the system, on this basis, the systemdatabase is built.Finally, on the basis of theoretical study, take advantage of VB and SQL Server2005developing an RFID-based tracking and management system of keycomponents in discrete manufacturing, and is verified by a discrete manufacturin-genterprise application case.This research work has theoretical and practical, the application of thistechnology provide a strong guarantee for the share and collaborative of the discretemanufacturing industries’ manufacturing resources and manufacturing capacity, ithas a certain application value.
