As a workshop performer, MES is a bridge of the information exchange between the plan layer and the bottom control layer, and a key link in the construction of enterprise information.The paper first expatiate the background and significance of the MES system, followed based on the state of production and management in Q petrochemical company, analyzes the main problems in business processes, and studies the feasibility of MES management system application. Through combining application theoretical knowledge, we confirm the modular design and application range of MES system, and put forward the application project of MES in Q petrochemical company. Finally, we conclude that the MES system management can further consummate the company’s information construction, real time predominate production plan, circulate management, produce administer, and produce statistic.
