With the repaid development of electronic manufacturing in mainland China, more and more domestic companies have started the cooperation or competition with the first class electronic companies in the world. However, the traditional shop floor management cannot meet the customer's requirements on flexibility, agile reaction and precise tracking in the globalization environment. Therefore the local manufacturers are eagerly to establish a scientific system to schedule the production, collect the shop data, prevent and find the problems, further, track the products root course in case of quality complaints. So, MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is emerging for its important research value on manufacture ring information in China. This thesis is a pragmatic analysis based on the application of MES in EMD1 BU of Foxconn Technology Group. It discusses the in-depth MES design and realization, it includes more as follows:1. By interviewing the pertinent staff in EMD1 BU, it made a wide survey and investigation, which facilitate a full-round understanding to the needs of MES in industry.2. When carry on EMD1 BU MES project, the general and detailed designing have been considered to combine the theory and actual implementation background. More than that, it also defines the system structure, module and the way of realization technologically.3. By applying various software tools such as Delphi, Oracle, the core function of MES come into being ranging from the System Console, Process Control Interface, WIP Management and corresponding logic.4. In light of the unit test and integrated test, the analytical summary is made to the actual implementation of the system.The MES system, developed by this author, with the friendly interface, complete fundamental function, highly flexible configuration, do not only meet the product tracking requirements of the main customers like Dell, Intel and Samsung SEC profiting from this system, but also clear the way for EMD1 BU winning more contracts from them. Meanwhile, this system has been put into use in all Foxconn's electronic-related manufacturing departments, which is also the goal of this thesis.
