Tower cranes are very widely used transportation tools in the construction industry andplay a huge role. With the rapid development of construction industry, tower crane also gotmore and more widely used. But tower crane operation safety accident occurred frequently inrecent years to the state and the people’s life and property caused serious damage. To preventthe occurrence of safety accidents of tower, real-time monitoring of tower crane operationmanagement has become a necessity. Abroad with the development of high and newtechnology, increasingly mature in monitoring of tower crane, monitoring of tower equipmentmore rationalization standardization, can display the man-machine interactive interface,real-time monitoring of tower crane operation. But because products are expensive, foreigntechnology monopoly factors restrict the introduction and promotion in this respect in China.So in the domestic set up efficient and advanced new type tower crane safety monitoring andcontrol system is particularly important.This article will ARM-Linux embedded technology used on the tower crane monitoringplatform to achieve visual monitoring of tower crane operation. Embedded system is a kindof to apply for the purpose of software and hardware of computer technology as a basis toachieve cutting, can be used in application system has strict requirements on functionreliability cost dedicated computer system. With the development of microelectronicstechnology, embedded system is gradually widely used.This design main content includes the several aspects.First, the hardware design of tower crane safety monitoring system diagram. The CPUuses S3C2440A, strong function of the processor power consumption is low, can achieve533MHz frequency400MHz is best, to be able to run a small operating system. Tower cranemonitoring system’s overall design have LCD shows the wireless sending and receiving dataprocessor memory module and a serial port module. Power module for power supply controlmodule FLASH memory SDRAM is used to store programs and records of tower cranemonitoring data, and so on. CC1110module is used to transmit the operation data. GPRSmodule is used to transmit the history data to the remote, in the remote monitoring. Mainly adopts VCestablish form monitor interface, clerk, can through the man-machine interface of monitoringto monitor running status of tower crane, the software can be stored for tower crane towercrane operation data query the cause of the accident after an accident.Overall design of the monitoring system with low power consumption characteristics,real time visual display field data collected, so as to realize the monitoring of the tower crane.The system makes full use of S3C2440A and powerful management functions to the Linuxoperating system make the system stable and reliable performance, better real-time display.System design within the collision mechanism, can effectively prevent adjacent collision oftower crane, tower crane group is running more and security. The system can also realize therunning status of tower crane remote monitoring through the network. Is the embedded method to tower crane monitoring system for tower crane remote monitoring alarm, and storethe historical data, in order to facilitate data analysis.
