Tower crane is the essential hoisting equipment in the modern engineering construction, especially in construction transportation of the high-rise buildings. Its application is getting more and more widespread. Along with the further development of architecture industry, the market competition of tower crane is becoming increasingly fierce. Therefore, the intellectualized demand of tower crane is also getting higher and higher. Because of that the safety accident rate of tower crane has been stayed at a high level in recent years, the safety monitoring problem of tower crane is still the hot spot in current research area. In order to solve the reliability and demand of intellectualized development of safety monitoring system of tower crane, the embedded intelligent monitoring system of tower crane based on fieldbus was put forward in this article. It was designed with modular design and the parallel design method, which synthesized the embedded development technology and fieldbus network communication technique based on the concept of Internet of Things. It demonstrated the overall design of the system and developed the hardware and software solution plan, which realized the monitoring and management of safety operation of tower crane. It also completed the design of intelligent monitoring system experiment platform sharing the operating information of tower crane. It would be of important theoretical and practical significance to eliminate the accident hidden danger caused by the operation faults of tower crane and ensure the safety of equipment and person. Researching of the article provides certain research technique and theory reference to the development of intelligent monitoring product of tower crane and further improvement and perfection of intelligent monitoring technology of tower crane.The embedded intelligent monitoring system of tower crane researched in this paper, which plays a crucial role, is the important part of monitoring and management system of the group of tower cranes based on the Internet of Things. Firstly, this paper focused on the theoretical study of the fieldbus control network, proposed the establishment of fieldbus control network system based on CAN bus, and then analyzed mainstream wireless communication technology and the development process of embedded system. Secondly, combined with the working conditions of tower crane and the functional requirements analyse of the system, it demonstrated the technical scheme selection of master control platform and the wireless communication system in the paper. It presented the overall design scheme of the embedded intelligent monitoring system of tower crane with the S3C6410microprocessor as the core. And it designed the sensors scheme of the data acquisition system of the tower crane terminal with the C8051F040microcontroller as the core. Thirdly, for the overall design, this paper specifically addressed the design of hardware and software program of the system based on modular design and the parallel design method. With the application of CAN bus technology and embedded technology, it selectively analyzed the embedded master control platform and the hardware module design of data acquisition system of terminal units of tower crane based on CAN bus communication network. With the application of embedded software development technology, this paper also established the embedded cross-compiler development environment. It mainly compiled the device driver of the main hardware module of the system, and developed the topology diagram of application software and flow chart of CAN bus communication of the application software.The innovation of this paper is that it researched the embedded intelligent monitoring system of tower crane based on fieldbus control network by the introduction of the idea of Internet of Things and modern integrated design methods, and organic combination of fieldbus theory, the theory of network communication and embedded development. It has achieved the function of the safety monitoring and management of tower crane, thus providing a scientific and feasible method for developing improvements of the monitoring and management system for the group of tower cranes based on the Internet of Things. And it provides a new avenue of research to the further development of intelligent monitoring system of tower crane.
