Design Research Of Outdoor Activity Space For Urban Children

Modern rapid urban construction brought a lifestyle change, are also taking city children’sfree play space. At present, in the children’s physical and psychological are inferior to adultsthis group neglected the edge of the urban space, urban children opportunities is not enough, theoutdoors activity space, single activity facilities, and there are many security hidden danger.Although, modern city children’s material life level have greater improvement and improve thanbefore, but more and more lack of child safety activity space, lead to children’s physical ability,team cooperation ability, innovation ability, independent observation ability, divergent thinkingability, the sharp decline in attention and imagination ability. Studies show that more outdooractivities can promote the development of children’s various functions. As a result, the childneeds earnestly into the relevant policies and regulations, and application in the design of urbanoutdoor activity space, is we urgently need to study the content.Based on urban children’s outdoor activities and activity space of the investigation of thestatus quo of the introduction, analysis the main factors influencing the urban children’s outdooractivities, through the children’s physical, psychological, behavior and environment of thetheory analysis, and draw lessons from foreign outstanding case of the children activity space toexplore children’s outdoor activity space of modern city planning and design, looking forwardto build a health and safety for children of city space, it will be for children’s growth, and nation,the future of the country has a very important significance, is also the author’s purpose inwriting papers.In this paper, the research content in the following aspects:First, through the way of questionnaire survey in Nanjing three different stage ofdevelopment blocks, analysis of problems existing in the urban children’s outdoor activities andactivity space as well as the influence factors of city children’s outdoor activities.Second, based on the above questionnaire as well as the children’s physical, psychological,behavior of different development stages on the analysis of the space environment cognition,summed up the basic theory of the different stages of children activity space.Third, through the above content summary and reference for design of domestic andforeign outstanding case, optimization design in residential area and children’s amusement parkdesign as an example, discusses urban children’s outdoor activity space planning and design.
