With the rapid expansion of cities,the reduction of natural space and the popularization of electronic entertainment,the phenomenon of children’s natural lack is becoming more and more common.Nature education has been paid more and more attention because it can alleviate the negative impact of lack of nature on children,improve children’s comprehensive quality,cultivate children’s love for nature and the awareness of protecting nature.At present,the popularization of nature education is far from meeting the needs of children.As the most accessible and frequently used outdoor space for children,children’s outdoor activity space in residential areas also has a low degree of naturalization,which is difficult to support nature education.The author believes that it is of great significance to study the outdoor activity space design of children in residential areas from the perspective of natural education for the popularization of natural education.This thesis takes children’s outdoor activity space in residential areas as the research object,from the perspective of nature education,using the methods of literature research,case analysis,induction and summary to provide design ideas and methods.The research results focus on five aspects:(1)Through literature research,this thesis combs the connotation and development status of nature education.Nature education is an educational activity with the core of "practice in the natural environment or the natural environment of artificial construction",the goal of which is to "improve the physical and mental state and enhance their own quality through contacting nature","understand nature and learn natural knowledge","cultivate the consciousness and behavior of loving nature and protecting nature".The main research directions of natural education include natural education system research and natural education landscape space design research.The scenes involved include nature reserves,forest parks,rural education camps,community gardens,etc.(2)Through case analysis,this thesis combs the activity content,organization form,required resources,participants and other elements of nature education in nature education institutions,and summarizes the conventional system of nature education combined with literature research and supporting theory.This thesis analyzes the case of community garden which is similar to the natural education children space in residential area,and summarizes its design concept,spatial structure and landscape elements.(3)According to the conventional system of natural education and the characteristics of residential environment,this thesis puts forward the system framework of children’s natural education in residential environment,and sorts out the content and landscape elements of natural education activities suitable for residential areas.On the basis of natural education system,case experience and existing research in residential areas,five design principles of children’s activity space in residential areas are put forward from the perspective of natural education,including naturalization,experience,children’s friendliness and function balance.Six design strategies are proposed,including reappearance of natural environment,enhancement of landscape perception,material recycling,miniaturization of facilities,landscaping of agricultural land and enrichment of supporting facilities,It is divided into four levels: the green space beside the house,the concentrated green space in the neighborhood,the public green space in the five minute life circle,the public green space in the ten minute and fifteen minute life circle,and the children’s activity space,showing the process and key points of the design.(4)Under the guidance of design research,this thesis analyzes the preliminary planning of the site,the status quo of the natural environment and the needs of users,designs a targeted natural education system,and carries out the design of children’s outdoor activity space in a new residential area in Weifang City from the perspective of natural education,and draws relevant drawings. |
