Study On The Design Of Shanxi Courtyard Culture In Children’s Outdoor Activity Space

Shanxi is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilisation,and the Shanxi courtyard,as a model of Chinese residential architecture,is closely related to people’s lives and contains the local people’s living customs,production needs,economic capacity,national preferences and aesthetic concepts,and has a high scientific,artistic and historical value.Excellent Chinese traditional culture is the spiritual lifeline of the Chinese nation and needs to be passed on and safeguarded from generation to generation.Children are the future of our country,and childhood is the most important stage for every child to accept new things and grow and develop.A good open space environment can provide favourable conditions for the healthy development of children’s education.The dissemination of excellent traditional culture,represented by the culture of the Shanxi compound,should not only be in the indoor environment,but the integration of excellent traditional culture into the design of the outdoor activity space not only enables children to be physically fit,but also achieves a silent cultural education.In order to implement the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s research in Shanxi,to guard the cultural heritage carefully,and to let the historical cultural lineage be better passed on,this paper takes the Shanxi courtyard,one of the traditional Chinese residential houses,as the main research object,collates and summarises the cultural values of the Shanxi courtyard in various aspects such as layout,decoration and thought through reading literature and collecting data,and analyses the excellent children’s The study also analyses the excellent examples of children’s outdoor spaces at home and abroad that have the function of cultural expression,as well as the theoretical research on the creation of existing children’s outdoor spaces,and proposes methods to create a landscape in which the culture of the Shanxi compound can be expressed.This study integrates Shanxi compound culture with children’s education and incorporates Shanxi compound culture into the landscape in an attempt to create a child-friendly spatial environment with Chinese characteristics.It explores how traditional culture can be integrated into children’s activity spaces and design innovation to activate their vitality.While inheriting and protecting and making good use of the ancient architectural resources of the Shanxi compound,it is important to build up children’s confidence in Shanxi culture,to pass on and promote the excellent Chinese traditional culture and to build up a spatial memory about the traditional dwellings of the Shanxi compound and to enhance the sense of cultural identity.While maintaining the regional characteristics of the children’s outdoor space landscape,the cultural enlightenment of the Shanxi courtyard will be implemented,allowing the children’s outdoor space to grow up together with the children,and providing examples and suggestions for the future representation of the cultural contents of residential houses in other regions in the children’s outdoor space landscape.
