| This thesis is intended to make a preliminary exploration andresearch on how to innovate the Inquiry-experiment teaching mode in theexperimental teaching of biology in junior middle schools. Experimentalteaching as an important means and ways is essential to develop studentsoverall quality and practical skills. According to the healthy atmosphereof the small-sized class teaching in Shanghai Zizhuyuan Middle School,on the basis of the theory of cooperative learning theory, this research hasbeen made a classified one on how to carry out Inquiry-experimentteaching mode and has put forward the both learning strategy ofcooperation and inquiry in Life Science subject of junior middle schools.Basing on the theory of both cooperative learning theory and inquirylearning theory, according to the curriculum standards’ requirements ofthe second stage of curriculum reform in shanghai, combing the practicalexperience of bioengineering, the research meets the need of studentswho have strong thirst for knowledge. That’s just what we want toaccomplish. By means of full investigations and experimental researches,the teacher has made a one-year practical research, verifying thefeasibility and effect of this experimental teaching mode. The applicationof the Inquiry-experiment teaching mode is pretty appropriate to juniormiddle school students, as reducing the difficulty of their inquiryresearches, increasing the interest they have in their biology experimentlearning and arousing their enthusiasm of participation, sharing andcooperation sufficiently. With active inquiry, the junior school studentswere acquired their good scientific literacy, cultivated their learningability, improved their abilities of scientific rethinking as well as obtainedhuge theoretical knowledge of biology. During the whole research, they were also fostered the skills of “self-regulated learning—cooperation—inquiry†which shows the tenet of the second stage of curriculum reformin shanghai. |
