Japan Chinese Media And China’s National Image Shaping

Along with the social development has been happening in China,it is increasingly important and urgently that shaping China’s national image. This thesis focus on politic, economic, military, citizens, cultural and social images of China which expressed in Japanes Newspapaer of Chinese(JNOCNEWS), including citizens’ confidence level, some human politic images of the government, economy that full of opportunities and challenges, mild patriots with the overwhelming military force,"savior" with citizens of diverse qualities, long history with single cultural image and the changeable social image. Reports inJapanes Newspapaer of Chinese were sampled from2001to June2012, and consulted and classified by the methods of content analysis and text analysis.This theis also reflects the value of China’s national image built in Japanes Newspapaer of Chinese:it breaks the monopoly of Japanese media,and it reports China objectively; establishing a good China image and balance the public opinion in Japan; put forward the excellent tradition of Chinese culture; emerging into the Japan mainstream society and shaping the national image of China by Japanese elites. The reports in shaping China’s image in Japanes Newspapaer of Chinese are more objective and real, which gives us the suggestions in external communication of China’s national image. The author believes that we should pay full attention to the differences of the audience; take advantage of the particularity of the Chinese media, pay attention to the objectivity and balance in news reports when shape China’s national image.There is few research about the way that the Japanes Newspapaer of Chinese to shape the national image of China, and the kinds of national image.Previous studies mainly focused on the view of the mainstream media or mainstream in Western media, and from the perspective of the Chinese media. The Chinese media from Japan has been neglected or marginalized this point. In fact, the Chinese media have a special role in shaping China’s national image, although its influence is less than the mainstream media, its significance can not be ignored. This article hopes to make up for this ignorance by the research about Japanes Newspapaer of Chinese.
