Along with the rapid growth of the increase of the average life expectancy of the populationand the aging population, the number of chronic diseases and degenerative diseases is increasingthese years, such patients are in urgent need of real-time monitoring and timely diagnosis andtreatment in the home environment, which is the traditional medical services can not be provided. Inorder to resolve this conflict, we propose a telemedicine home monitoring system based on theAndroid platform. The system consists of the home wireless sensor networks, the existing mobilecommunication network and hospitals Internet devices. The system front-end is worn on thepatient’s physiological signal acquisition and low-power Bluetooth transceiver; the patient can carrythe device in a home environment and do some free activities, physiological data extracted togetherby the collector sends to Android phone via Bluetooth wireless communication below a distance of20meters. Mobile access to existing mobile communication network to transfer data to the hospitalinternet server for further processing, the processed data is available for the doctor’s interpretationand treatment advice. The processed data is interpreted by a doctor and given the diagnosis andtreatment advice. Doctor’s advices along the channel downlink transmission to Android phones fortheir patients or if doctors understand the disease directly,they will go to the patient’s home toprovide professional services.The research was to analyze the Bluetooth communication protocol, the structure and principlesof the Android system, demonstrated the correctness and feasibility of the principle of the system.We take common home monitoring of cardiac patients as an example for the design andimplementation of the ECG acquisition, the transfer function of physiological sensor node device.We take Android4.3mobile phone for the implementation of data aggregation node function and takePC platform to achieve the basic functions of the server-side of the system. Its central power sensornodes are battery-powered to ensure human security for using the device. It take the INA333,instrumentation amplifier, rail-to-rail Op-Amp TLV2375and low-power Bluetooth transceiverCC2540to design ECG acquisition, while meeting the high input impedance, high gain, highcommon-mode rejection ratio, low noise, low power design constraints. Low-power wireless the starsensor network based on Bluetooth communication was successfully constructed by using Android4.3mobile phone as data aggregation node. The test results show that the sensor nodes in real timeand low distortion acquisition of human ECG, mobile phones can bring together several sensor nodes data and transmit it to the server, the server will deal with it and correctly shows the main partof the performance of the ECG data, so the system meet the design requirements. We verify that theproposed use of Bluetooth wireless sensor network, Android phones, as well as existing mobilecommunication network for the implementation of the medical home remote monitoring system, andprove that the use of existing technology can be used at a lower cost to implement the scheme.Therefore, the proposed system is worthy of further product research.
