According to storage measurement technology, the measured signal is gathered and stored in real time, then read back and processed afterwards. With rapid development of modern military technology, storage test system with higher performance is required. In this paper, a universal acquisition and storage system is presented for several applications such as bullet attitude test, penetration acceleration test, and shock wave test, which has important research significance.First, the principle and the development status of the storage test system have been investigated. The technical index and general arrangement was designed according to the testing requirements of different applications. The designed system uses high-performance FPGA as the control core. Large-capacity Flash memory and high-speed programmable A/D converter are also used in the system.More than that, USB bus is used for data readback. Then, the entire system was designed in detail. The hardware of the system is designed with regard to the design of the core control circuit, the A/D conversion circuit and the storage circuit.At the same time, the electromagnetic compatibility and high-reliability design requirements are considered. Then Verilog HDL language combined with graphical design methods is used to complete the FPGA control logic design of each module. On the other hand, SOPC technology is used to form the Nios II soft-core on chip, and the control program is written by C. Key technologies like the reliable triggering and the processing of Flash invalid block are also detailedly study in this paper, and the computer interface based on Labview is designed. At last, the system was tested to verify the functional and technical specifications. The experiment results show that the acquisition and storage system designed has good performance with high speed, small size, adjustable number of input channels, and low power consumption.
