Design And Realization Of The Inventory Subsystem In ERP System

One of the many challenges that enterprise faces in today’s economy is being ableto meet their customers growing expectations while keeping costs low. ERP systembecomes the most important option for the enterprises. For a enterprise to be runefficiently it is important that Inventory Management system keep a record of theirinventory. We have designed and realized the inventory management system for JiahuiTechnology Limited.In this thesis the process of designing is shown as follow. Firstly, the traditionalsystems of inventory management have been analyzed. According to the result of theanalysis, needs analysis and data flow diagram have been designed for the inventorymanagement system. Based on the data flow diagram, business processes have beensubdivided. And the using and the function of each step in the business processes havebeen described in enough detail. A method of iterative process and stepwise refinementis utilized to design database and divide function module of inventory managementsystem. The method can ensure loose coupling of each modules in the system. When amodule is modified, the others are not influenced. MVC programming architecture ofASP.NET technology is utilized to set up the development platform of subsystem.PL/SQL Developer software is utilized to connect Oracle database in order to reducedifficulty of development system. In the end, C#, Java, HTML and SQL are utilized towrite the computer code. When the system has been achieved, the technology ofwhite-box testing and black-box testing are utilized to test the system in order to obtainthe testing result.In this thesis, we design the inventory management system which I handlemanufacturing, HR management, order entry, accounts receivable and payable, generalledger, purchasing, warehousing, transportation, etc for an organization. And the systemgains acceptance from the enterprises.
