Under the current situation of the steel market downturn and profit decreasing,how to keep the spare parts inventory in a reasonable and economical level becomes a significant subject for iron and steel enterprises to reduce cost.The inventory management gradually highlights its considerable role and meanwhile the inventory management information system as an important technological means for inventory management has been developing rapidly.The rational utilization of inventory management theories and management system will not only help the decision-maker and managers to determine the inventory reasonably and economically but also promote the scientific management and standardization of inventory manageme nt in enterprises,and moreover bridge the gap between inventory management in the world.This dissertation will analyze the present situation of enterprise inventory management from different perspectives,deliberate the existing problems and furthermore combine with the management defects of the currently utilized ERP spare parts management system,so as to complete the development and design of an inventory management information system for the grassroots units of some iron and steel enterprise,improving the inventory management level.This system adopts B/S framework and integrates JSP with Access as the software support,mainly accomplishing functions such as the inventory information management function,query function and backstage management function,and providing technical support for the in-depth study of specific issues of spare parts inventory control in accordance with actual production situation.On the basis of the spare parts inventory account of some iron and steel enterprise and bonding with the current situation of enterprise's spare parts inventory management,this dissertation sums up what cause the immediate problems and unreasonable state between the structure and quantity of spare parts inventory and the subsequent measures,and moreover makes system function requirement analysis.Grounding on the overall goal of the enterprise inventory management,the dissertation introduces the overall structural design of this system and complete the design of functional modules,business process,database and UML model,and furthermore presents the realization of every module function under the J2 EE application framework.Finally,this dissertation mainly aims at the functional test of this system,verifying the stable and valid operation of this system according to the actually applied data,and efficiently improving the enterprise inventory management level.
