Inventory Management Optimization Of M Publishing House Based On VMI Model

With the development of e-commerce platform and the popularity of online shopping,more and more enterprises enter the book industry,and the competition in the publishing market is becoming more and more fierce.In the whole supply chain of the book industry,the publishing house is in a very important position among the suppliers.However,many publishing houses in China have the problems of high inventory cost and low turnover rate.How to manage the inventory of enterprises has become an important issue of the publishing house.Good inventory management can effectively improve customer satisfaction and reduce enterprise inventory,and can also make enterprises more targeted pricing decision-making and promotion decision,and show the competitive advantage of enterprises in market competition.This paper takes M publishing house as the research object of inventory management,describes the inventory management and its related research theories,and comprehensively analyzes the inventory management methods that may be applied to m publishing house,including ABC classification,supplier inventory management,collaborative supply chain inventory management and so on.Then,this paper investigates the market and products of the book industry where m publishing house is located,analyzes the inventory management problems in the summer reading list project of M publishing house,and also analyzes the causes of the problems.The main reasons for inventory problems of M publishing house are the low accuracy of demand forecast,the old inventory management method,the running of ERP system and its inventory management module,and the unreasonable performance appraisal method of the existing inventory management.According to the above problems,this paper puts forward the optimization scheme to solve the problem of M Publishing House inventory management.The paper puts forward the implementation of VMI model,improves the accuracy of demand forecast by using demand forecasting model,upgrades ERP system optimization inventory management module,improves the performance evaluation method and index of inventory management,and optimizes the inventory management of M publishing house.Finally,the paper puts forward the guarantee measures of the optimization scheme,which makes the optimization plan of M Publishing House carry out smoothly.
