As one important part of Xuzhou’s general programming of mineral resourcesduring the year from2001to2010, the design and Implementation of XZMRPMISchiefly aims to study how to make the management work of mineral resources morecorrect and effectively, and to provide the government or society with handyinformation service. This article brings forward many innovative opinions, especially inthe effective managements for outcomes of programming, the evaluation ofpreponderant mineral resources, and map’s hot links and printing at freewill scale. Itachieves the expectant purpose.By using the techniques that relative to industrial engineering, this article firstintroduces the working contents, efficiency and characteristics of management andprogramming of mineral resources at different periods; And founds out that this kind ofjobs needs supports from techniques of management science, computer science or GIS.On the basis of analysis of Xuzhou’s mineral resources programming andconsidering its present status, requirements and working flows, this article syntheticallyuses the technologies of GIS, assistant decision-making and network to design the MISfrom the viewpoint of software engineering and systems engineering; and it takesVB6.0and MapX as the programming platform to make it into reality.The outcomes of this study have been successively applied to Xuzhou city; TheXZMRPMIS achieves the requirements of mineral management and programming andis in good operating condition and it also won many praises from experts of Jiangsuprovince.
