Our nation's mineral resource data (graphic data, attribute data, etc) are mostly stored separately in multifarious formats and medium respectively, it difficult to effectively meet the mineral resource programming management's information processing demand. Exploring how to realize the graphic and attribute data integration storage, building resource spatial database, it is very important for the mineral resource's moderate development and effective use. This context studies the mineral resource spatial database's design and implementation problem, the researchful subject is a part of the prefecture-level pilot projects from the national land resource department mineral resource programming database construction, this research takes the Jiangsu Provincial Huai'an national land resource bureau mineral resource programming database construction as the background to launch.Through the analysis of the mineral resource programming business, this context elicits the information and function demand of the mineral resource programming spatial DB, being based on that, it presents the design of the mineral resource programming spatial DB's concept, logic and physics, and its focus is on the implementation technologies of the mineral resource spatial DB. This DB is based on Geodatabse data model, adopts Oracle9i as its supporting platform, uses ArcSDE as the spatial DB's organization management tool, and takes advantage of the ArcCatalog software's Import Feature Class tool to complete the data's loading. Through three typical applications (the analysis of the mine production capacity, the analysis of the mineral reserves, base reserves and resource quantities, the application of mineral resource management), it texts and displays that the design of the mineral resource programming spatial DB is reasonable, and its implementation is effective.This context's researchful fruit provides a set of advanced methods and minds for the national land resource business's mineral resource DB construction in the new situation, especially makes some salutary tries in the mineral resource graphic and attribute data integration storage and the implementation of spatial databse.
