Things are a direct Internet connection item is the development of next generationnetworks and the Internet inevitable outcome. Things which middleware technology asthe nerve center of things, the hardware and applications play an intermediary role inproviding low-level interface to fit it down to achieve the sensor and the electronic taginformation collection and processing of applications up to provide a commoninterfaces for different applications to call. At present, the more critical middlewaretechnology-complex event processing mechanism of its own technical limitationsbecause there are some shortcomings, such as mass data pattern recognition accuracy, efficiency, performance security.Learning from the EU this article Hydra middleware technology road developmentprojects and design ideas, proposed a sensor based on ontology technology equipmentand its ability to describe various ways, making the system has a higher adaptive,self-configuring and self-healing device integration features, and based on SemanticWeb technologies to achieve flexible arrangement of things combined applications. Thisarticle focuses on semantics and ontology in which the perception of things middlewarecommunication module, equipment module and the event processing module solution, then with the complex event processing technology in the three modules of the solutionwere compared.According to the above ideas, we realize an agricultural Things to verify itsapplication case for agricultural greenhouse temperature and humidity which event, thecombination of a single rule and complex rules. Protégé ontology development tool andthen use the event to establish the sensor body model, using JENA come on complexevent processing module which matches the some of the most important rules forprocessing, and ultimately the rules and complex rules of a single case of two differentrules for matching events.
