An ontology is ail explicit specification of a sharing conception, it becomes a hot spot in both computer and related fields in recent years, it has been widely used in various domains such as knowledge engineering, knowledge management, system modeling, information processing, digital libraries, natural language understanding etc.The goal is to capture knowledge in related fields, provide the common understanding of domain knowledge, identify kernel terms that commonly recognized in domain areas, and gives an explicit relationship definition of these terms on various formal models levels. With the development of global informationization, E-commerce has become an integral part of the world economic market, and product information always is a very important part of the e-commerce. Accurate and clearly defined products and services is a necessary foundation in the process of business cooperation. Product ontologies in E-commerce establish a shared and common understanding of product domain by building hierarchies of product classes enriched by attributes. This paper briefly described the related concepts of semantic web and ontology, including the architecture of the semantic web, the concepts and mathematical models of ontology, ontology elements, ontology modeling and Resource Description Framework(RDF). We made a careful analysis of existing products ontology GoodRelations, and on the basis work of this ontology, we used Protege as ontology editing tools,OWL as the ontology language, built a mobile phone ontology. Finally, in the platform which specifically for the Semantic Web application developing, we used semantic web query language(SPARQL) successful realized queries based on semantic information in the field of electronic commerce.
