China’s tourism industry is in a stage of rapid development of related industries, stimulating role has increasingly obvious. But at present the construction and development of tourism information needs and market development is slow, there is a considerable gap, tourism service automation and intelligent degree is low. At present, the main means is the relevant information on the network search, because the amount of information on the Internet is too complicated, making it difficult for users to quickly and accurately from massive amounts of data on the network to access the query results and information. In view of the above problems, this paper presents a retrieval method based on Ontology in the field of tourism, through the key technology of the semantic web, to design a more appropriate to the demands of tourists information retrieval system.In view of the advantage of ontology in semantic, this paper proposes to construct a knowledge base of ontology model for the field of tourism, mainly using the seven steps model modeling, using OWL description language and Protégé ontology editing tools to achieve. The six elements of the model include and tourism activities related to tourist attractions, accommodation, tourist traffic query, catering, entertainment, shopping, and to the Mount Putuo scenic area as an example to fill, completed the construction of ontology library. For the convenience of users, this paper develops a simple question answering system, to meet the needs of users, mainly using SPARQL query language and Jena package to complete the knowledge reasoning and answer extraction, which verify the feasibility of.
