Semantic Web Environment On Ontology-based Semantic Retrieval Application

As a new technology of information retrieval, Semantic retrieval can retrieve information resource fully and precisely based on the knowledge understanding and knowledge reasoning. The research on semantic retrieval is not only in the domain of information management, but also in the domain of Artificial Intelligence, Word Wide Web, etc. and other professional domains such as Agriculture science, Medical science, etc.Ontology, which comes from philosophy and firstly used as other meaning in the domain of Artificial Intelligence, is very useful in the semantic retrieval, it can provide a flexible and full-scale mechanism of description and storage for the share and creation of domain knowledge. To research the semantic retrieval under the environment of semantic web based on ontology is a new way to research semantic retrieval. The semantic web provides a whole mechanism for the description and storage of information resource and ontology, and for knowledge reasoning and information security.This paper firstly sums up the two methods of semantic retrieval research, and chooses the semantic retrieval research under the semantic web based on the ontology as the pivot of this paper; and then the structure of semantic web and its use to semantic retrieval is discussed; after that, the ontology and description language related to semantic web are discussed and researched deeply, which establishes the basic for the semantic web system; at last, based on the fully research on the semantic web application development kit jena, the realization method of semantic retrieval system is discussed, and the methods of resolving the key problems are provided, and a simulative semantic retrieval reasoning system is developed.
