Oracle bones inscriptions of the Yin Ruins,it is the earliest existing Chinese characters, and the history of the late Shang Dynasty is recorded by it, but also it can be traced back to the earliest source for Chinese language, culture, history. The study of Oracle bones is a new discipline, primarily for collecting, collating. It is undoubtedly of great help to scholars for using computer-assisted research, accelerate the pace of research based on the corpus of oracle bones inscriptions on bones.According to the theory and methods of Ontology and corpus and supporting Oracle Explanation for the research background, this paper studies the cases of interpreting of bones and inscriptions on oracle bones, using relevant technologies to process, analysis the formation of a simple Oracle corpus, and the purpose of the work is that using ontology to establish a good corpus, the ontology as a knowledge representation and sharing tools will organizate bones and inscriptions knowledge organization together, the important thing is tagging corpus with semantic tagging based on ontology, using the Oracle divination field of ontology knowledge base to achieve knowledge sharing and supporting to scholars. The main work and key technologies is tagging,First of all, using XML structured annotation to achieve the information structure of Oracle corpus; Secondly, using Protege tools, and OWL ontology language and ontology to study the storage of bones and inscriptions ontology; again, through the Jena technology to complete the divination analysis based on ontology, to complete ontology expansion by modify operations. then by defining a number of rules of interpreting and calculation method of divination to complete the process of semantics,at last to build a semantic annotation system and set up the foundation for follow-up sound knowledge base, and finally discuss the application of the bones and inscriptions ontology. this paper aslo consider the follow-up work to realize information discovery on the corpus based on knowledge, and the algorithm design and system development.
