With the rapid development of science and technology, people’s demand for energy isincreasing daily. For declining energy day by day, we should also continue to develop newenergy sources on the basis of the use of existing resources; so this meets the concept ofsustainable development. With constant exploration and efforts of people, The LED lights thatis reliable, energy-saving and environmental have been come into people’s eye sight gradually,this light has been widely used as the indicator light of the various types of equipment andbecome the mainstream application program of energy efficiency and environmentalprotection light system. But LED lights are also facing the problem about heat dissipation andefficiency, and these problems have become a bottleneck in the development of the LEDlights, if we can monitor and manage these LED lights, we will be able to effectively increaseuseful life of the LED lights as well as the lighting rate.First, this paper introduces the advantages of the LED light as lighting source and thedeficiencies on the remote control system of LED lights, at the same time; it introduces thedevelopment status of communication technology now. And then the second chapter describesthe characteristics, network structure and interface of GPRS communication technology thesystems use. The third chapter introduces overall structure, main function and key technologyin system, In addition, the fourth chapter introduces the design thinking of the system as wellas the communication protocol. At last, the fifth chapter depicts software design of eachsystem.According to the characteristicsof GPRS and ZigBee communication technology, wepropose a remote monitoring and management system that adapt to the development of theintelligent LED light, it can manage routine information of intelligent LED light, and then itwill take appropriate measures to deal problems occurred, the system will control device inreal-time andanalysis the data collected.For remote monitoring and management system of the intelligent LED light, we shouldchoose the appropriate communication mode and software structure, this is also a top priorityfor remote monitoring. Because the traditional control method of street light can’t implementcommunication function, we can’t obtain real-time data of the equipment, and it can’t monitorand manage devices, in addition, it also can’t implement query, statistics and analysis function,we can’t know detailed operation of devices, we can only rely on staff to carry out inspectionsor residents’ reported telephone and other means to confirm broken devices. If we use asuitable communication method and software structure, we can solve the above problems. In order to better remote control, the system uses a distributed control measurement, thesystem use four-tier structure mainly: a single lamp controllers, concentrators, communicationnetwork and remote monitoring center. Single lamp controllers are responsible for theintelligent control of LED lights, cooling measures can be taken when the temperature of theLED light become higher, ZigBee communication module of the single lamp controller willsend real-time data to the concentrators through ZigBee network, GPRS communicationmodule of the concentrator will make received data re-assembled into another data formatwhich is conducive to analysis for the monitoring center, then it can connect GPRS networkthrough a dial-up, the data will be sent to remote monitoring center for query and scan, andremote monitoring center can also send command to the underlying single lamp controller.System development is based on Windows XP, C#and C++as the development language,Microsoft Visual Studio2010as a development platform; the database use SQL Server2008,the system also uses multi-threading technology and dynamic link library technology.The system design adaptive communication protocols, first of all, the communicationbetween underlying concentrator and remote monitoring center, concentrator connect GPRSnetwork through dial-up,then it use socket communication based on TCP/IP protocol, theconcentrator send binary messages to the remote monitoring center, remote monitoring centerstore data in the database through parse,then system’s users can browse and query data,theremote monitoring center can send command to the concentrator with the binary format. theremote monitoring center is divided into three layers from bottom to top: message transferserver system,message processing server system and monitoring client system, the messagesand commands between these three systems passed layer by layer, then they will reachdestination, so the design mainly ensure real-time performance, efficiency and scalability, soit can also reduce load of monitoring client.The system is able to achieve real-time monitoring and management of the LED light, ithas efficient timeliness, various management functions, convenience and so on. The system isable to achieve the “three-remote” function in ordinary monitoring system, the system cancontrol lights classificatorily according to the district or the street and take appropriatemeasures to deal trouble with the LED light, in addition, it can statistic and manage abnormaldata then affirm lamps with trouble.Users can define switch time of LED lights according tothe actual situation, time table information will be sent to the single lamp controller. The userof the remote monitoring center can query data and generate report forms based on themonitoring data in the database. The data in the database include real-time data of intelligentLED light, alarm data, personnel operating conditions, details of equipment.This subject is dependent upon Major Project of Jilin Province Science and TechnologyDevelopment Plan “New Product development and Research on Lighting and HeatDissipation of High-powerd LED Light”(20116018)...
