With the rapid development of computer and network technology, wired and wireless LAN-based monitoring systems and data transmission systems havs made great development. But fase to the industrial application in the occasion of dispersed work site, bad environment, and data transmission in small amount but frequent, current industrial monitoring systems is might not satisfied. So it is become a research hotspot how to realize the freely communication between long distance equipments, the distance of which might be from tens to thousands kilometers, and with the communication there is really WYSIWYG, ubiquitous surveillance.The thesis outlined the current development of wireless communications technology and embedded technology, Combining GPRS with MCU, the thesis proposed a structure of GPRS wireless telesupervisory system suitable for industrial process. After introducing the system hardware and software development platform, the thesis designed a long-range wireless intelligent terminal, which is based on GPRS module of Siemens MC39i and SST MCU, and established a Remote Monitoring System by VB programming.The terminal connects on-site industrial equipments through a serial port, uses MCU to achieve the PPP simplified protocol and drivers MC39i to connect to the Internet through GPRS wireless network,and finally sets up Units Socket communication with the control center computer which on the Internet, Thus achieves wireless communications between industrial-site equipment and remote monitoring center computer reliably.Experiment debug verified the effectiveness of the system.
