Compared with the traditional marking system, laser marking has many obviousadvantages. it is low cost, speed, pollution-free. And it can also get micror marks. Lasermarks are non-contact with the surface of the processing materials and do not produceany mechanical deformation. It can mark on almost any materials.There are twoimportant indicators to evaluate laser marking system: rate and precision of the system.In addition to the pursuit of higher speed and higher precision,the laser marking industry,in order to expand the application range of laser marking systems further, laser markingsystem needs to support the continuous generation of new laser marking mode. At thesame time, the laser generator technology which is continuously moved forward makesan increasingly high demand of the laser marking controller which is core devices of thelaser marking system.The main control objects of laser marking control system are galvanometer and laser.Currently, the contol of galvanometer and laser are completed by the core chip on theboard which makes they interfere with each other, resulting in the main chip can not playits full role and making low-speed, few-function. In this paper, the author make aseparate solution of the galvanometer control and laser control, the DSP mainly controlsthe galvanometer and the CPLD makes other control. The solution provides the basementto increase the marking speed and expand the control function.This paper gives a brief description of the development process of laser markingsystem. Then it makes some introductory remarks of the principle and the equipment oflaser marking, as well as several laser generators those will be controlled by the system.We propose a data flow model of the laser marking system after a lot of learning. On thisbasis, combined with the relevant technical requirements, there are some analyses of thesystem core parameters and the main requirements of the chips which are to deal withthese parameters and the introduction of the core chips which the system used.Furthermore,the paper uses a chapter to detail the design of the major models of the USB Laser Marking Card. Finally, the article also lists two problems of the hardware designand the solutions the author proposed. After strict testing, the USB laser marking cardfully achieved the expected goal. The card has a considerable practicalvalue and furtherdevelopment of the upgrade possibility.
