With the rapid development of the digital processing technology, analog processing has been subsituted by digital processing in many fields. With increasing requirements of the digital system, as the core of the analog-digital conversion system, A/D converter chips should also have high-precision and high sampling rate. However, the precision and sample rate are difficult to reach high standard at the same time,which became a bottleneck of the development of A/D sampling system. It is an important technology that two or more ADCs are operated in parallel mode. Hence, in order to achieve much higher sampling rate on the basis of precision, the paper discusses a 14 bit four-channel time-interleaved ADC system with the high sampling rate of 400Msps, which is applied to laser radar signal processing, as follows:Firstly, the basic principle of the high-speed and high-precision ADC system design is introduced.Secondly, the architecture of the hardware and software is proposed. Parts of schemes and the codes are given in detail. And the questions in design are explained, which should be paid attention to.Thirdly, debug the system, and make the system meet the requirement of the target. Finally, the disadvantages and limitations of the system are analyzed. And a better design is put forward.
