In the21st Century, information, energy and material have become the main resources in the social development. Governments have gradually become aware of the importance to train their citizens’information literacy ability. Undergraduates as today’s society knowledge groups should learn how to multi-channel access to information, correct evaluation of the information, effectively use information and above all develop good information moral values. The purpose of training undergraduate students’information literacy is not just to meet the needs of social modernization, and also the development of autonomous learning, independent thinking, critical thinking and creative thinking, to become a major force to promote the harmonious development of society.This paper sets an example of A university in southwest, analyzing the problems in the study of Chinese undergraduate information literacy and how to cultivate undergraduate information literacy by literature law, comparative law, the survey method and the graphic method. In general, the paper is divided into five chapters as follows:Chapter one:The author introduces issue’s advancing, researching motivation, researching approach and methods, researching scope and limitation, and the significance of the research.Chapter two:The author looks back on the development of information literacy and introduces the definition of information literacy at home and abroad.Chapter three:The author does research for undergraduate information literacy to A university in southwest and finds out the problems in Chinese undergraduate information literacy training.Chapter four:The author explores effective ways and means of training Chinese undergraduate information literacy and poses a more suitable undergraduate information literacy training strategy.The last chapter is the conclusion.
