With the rapid development of science and technology, the accelerating process ofglobalization, people’s sense of security is growing stronger and stronger,these make videomonitoring system applications have been increasing, demand is growing, and thecorresponding requirements are increasingly higher, from the beginning to the presentanalog video monitoring system become embedded network digital video monitoringsystem is a good example.This article aims to design a convenient interface, small size, digital, low-cost of thevideo monitoring system. The processing core of the system is FPGA and DSP chip, is anindependent image acquisition and display system, enabling video image capture,processing and transmission functions.First,the system choose a CCD image sensor as thefront-end image capture device;using SAA7113decoder chip as a data A/D converter;using SDRAM and SRAM chips as a data cache;choosing FPGA chip EP1C6Q240C8andDSP chip TMS320VC5402as the master chip to complete logic control and theachievement of the JPEG algorithm;using ADV7123as encoding chip to complete the dataD/A converting, and the VGA display for video monitoring; choosing RCM3200as anetwork transmission contronling module.Using Quartus II and CCS development platform designed for data acquisition, framestorage, transmission, compression and display various parts of the program, eventuallyloaded into the hardware platform, achieving the video monitoring.
