A Study Of K-Coverage And Routing Protocols In3D Wireless Sensor Networks

With the rapid development of MEMS technology, MEMSmanufacturing technology and computer and network technology, sensortechnology is moving in the direction of micromation, intelligentization,network and integration. Nowadays, Wireless Sensor Network technologyis becoming an important means of the adaptive detection of a complexadaptive environment. Wireless Sensor Network technology makes thethree process of information acquisition, information transmission andinformation processing merged. It is expected that the development andthe wide application of the new technology will affect human social lifegreatly and set off a new wave of industry.Considering quickly energy consumption of the LEACH, the paperproposes the improved protocol. The improved protocol has achievedgood results in the extension of node survival time and saving networkenergy consumption. In addition, we apply the improved protocol in3D,it can also get the same results. The main results of the paper are asfollows:(1) We propose the improved protocol in2D and establishmathematical models. We make a simulation comparison betweenLEACH protocol and improved protocol with the NS2simulationplatform. It is concluded that the clustering result of improved protocol ismore advisable and the network lifetime, power consumption and other performance indexes are improved effectively.(2)We apply the improved protocols in3D and have the sameconclusion.(3) In the last part of the paper, we propose2D k-covered Reuleauxtriangle and3D k-covered Reuleaux tetrahedron based on the concepts ofconnectivity and coverage. But this model is still at the stage of research;we proved that the coverage would affect the connection of nodes so thatwe can provide support for reliability of data transmission.
