Agricultural irrigating water accounts for a large proportion in water resources utilization in China. So, in the mounting water shortage today, to improve the utilization rate of agricultural water is very important. The remote control system of sluice of irrigation district is designed aiming at saving water during irrigation through remote data analyzing and irrigation gate real-time controlling.This thesis puts forward a design approach of the remote control system of sluice of irrigation district. In order to realizing field controlling and data acquisition through instrumentation, this system stores data information and communicates with the center monitor by RTU (Remote Terminal Units), as well as uses GPRS remote data transmission to receive and transmit data. Analysis on each of the main parts of the selection.Discuss the remote means of communication, and finally select GPRS wireless data transmission.In the hardware design of RTU, ARM7processor S3C44B0X is selected as the master chip and each function module is designed, such as memory circuit, serial level of transform circuit, display circuit, GPRS communication module, power module, input/output module, etc. In the design of communication module, lower power processor SIM300is chosen to guarantee the stability of the system.In the software design of RTU, transplantation of the μC/OS-II operating system is analyzed first, followed with the overall structure of this software. According to the design requirements of system, software design and implementation of interrupt handling, sampling, keyboard detection, LCD display, output, serial communication and remote data transmission module are realized. So as to ensure the stability and transmission efficiency, GPRS wireless communication is put to use in remote data transmission. Analysis of the hierarchy of GPRS data transmission. According to the characteristics of the system to select the PPP transport protocol, GPRS data transfer processes are given. Discuss the SMS method of remote data transmission.Finally, the realization of low power consumption of RTU, as well as how to reduce power consumption respectively from hardware and software are discussed. On the hardware side, design method of hardware low power consumption is talked about from these perspectives such as the choice of low power consumption devices, settings of processor like power management, clock frequency settings, closing down some peripheral controller, as well as some circuit including pull/down resistance selection. On the software side, design method of software low power consumption is discussed from these perspectives such as code optimization, controlling processor’s work time and mode through procedure, reducing sampling rate and improving transmission rate of the communication module.
