The overall parameters detecting system was designed based on Lab VIEW which combined with the data acquisition technology, single-chip technology and transducer technology to set up mill’s overall parameters detecting. The parameters of detected voltage, electrical current and pulp consumption can be transferred to upper monitor for graphic display, curve fitting and data access by single chip detecting circuit. Furthermore, using the LabSQL database query tools package which based on the virtual instrument, system can consults and modifies the database that reserving detected data, which expands the testing and application range of the virtual instrument.The system’s design and construction used the virtual instrument technology, combined with single-chip technology and DAQ data acquisition from hardware to software. The hardware aspect including a weighing sensor, electrical parameters sensor, serial-port communication module and LCD display module built the circuit. The software aspect used the method of C language and Lab VIEW programming language based on the data storage and the fast computation, the logic analysis function of the single-chip&computer to realize a data collection as well as automatic processing of data collection. Compared with other electrical parameter detecting instrument in the market was used a single acquisition for a single parameter, data processing manually summarized. The overall parameters detecting system had the following advantages:Reliable real-time data communications, test data comprehensive, concise human-machine interaction, low maintenance costs, fast data transmission.With LabVIEW graphical programming language as the core, the virtual instrument compromised a powerful hardware resource, breaking the traditional instruments in data processing, display, storage and other limitations, greatly enhancing the capabilities of traditional instruments. It showed that the hardware and software of the virtual instrument is an open, reusable, and interchangeable to a good human-machine interaction for the research method in overall parameters of electrical equipment. The system is easy to extend, users can and easily add or reduce the system hardware and software modules following changes in the actual test requirements and it can be used for other electrical equipment related to electrical parameters testing.
