With the development of the virtual instrument technology, measurement instruments and control systems are now heading in the direction of generalization, intellectualization and cyberization. The LabVIEW software developed by the National Instrument Company in America is by far the best and the most widely used virtual instrument developing software, currently adopted by more and more industrial measurement and control areas to realize data acquisition and processing.Nowadays with the popularization of the computer and network technology, network measurement and control systems quickly spring up. There are a variety of related technologies, but the LabVIEW software combines virtual instruments with the network technology, which has greatly enriched and developed the current network measurement and control methods. In network measurement and control, the key to the storage of the collected data is the transmission communications of the data as well as access to the remote data bank and its application.In this thesis, a network measurement and control platform was constructed, using the available hardware in the IPC lab. Then data acquisition of the analogue signals and switch signals of the experiment device was completed on the slave computers using the LabVIEW software. Then data communications of the mater computer and the slave computers were realized through the Internet. After the data from every slave computers were collected and processed on the master computer, storage of these data and access to the remote databank were realized by using the LabSQL toolkits. In the meantime, a web data bank server was constructed using the ASP.NET technology on the .Net platform, thus remote notification of the collected data was completed through the net, the aim of sharing the collected data was achieved and a real example of remote databank construction and application in the LabVIEW network measurement and control application system was realized.The first chapter of this thesis elaborates on the development and application of the network virtual instrument measurement and control system. The second chapter introduces the components of its hardware, the relationship between the master computer and the slave computers, the data collecting procedures of the slave computers and the data processing procedures of the master computer through LabVIEW, the dynamic display of the collected data and the ways to use the Datasocket technology in LabVIEW to perform the data transmission and displaying function of the master computer and the slave computers. Chapter three introduces how to use the LAbSQL toolkit to realize access to the SQL Server remote databank and storage of the data through the ADO technology in the master computer. Specific examples of the ODBC configuration and the ways to modify LabSQL are also elaborated in this chapter. Chapter four introduces the Web databank website designed according to the ASP.NET technology based on the .Net platform, using the SQL Server as the databank system. The program design is developed according to the three level mode to realize remote notification of the information. Finally, work on the design and development of this system and the results of the system testing are summarized.
