This paper discussed a data acquisition system with high-speed data acquisition and mass storage for radar signal. The system has PCI and PCI-E architecture, uses the dual-channel A/D acquisition card created by the Innovative Integration company as the acquisition system core, and builds a large capacity disk array by HighPoint Rocket RAID2320card. System’s sampling frequency is up to250MSPS, storage capacity reaches4TB and the sampling precision is12bit. When system working, the data writes to the server memory in DMA way, and then transmits to the S ATA II disk array in RAID0, that means the original data of the acquisition can input to the disk array in a timely manner.Based on the practical requirements for the acquisition system, a user interface was designed with LabVIEW. The interface used cyclic event structure as the overall framework, used.exe technology to complete the connection of the user interface and acquisition procedures, and used waveform chart as the display tool. According to the characteristics of the acquisition system stored data, programmed and realized the U16conversion to a DBL, and then the data that waveform chart shows is the actual physical values. In addition, the user interface can display the current samples’ number and the amplitude of the mouse’s current location in the waveform chart. At last, the data acquisition system used for connecting and debugging. The system used for ranging signal acquisition of millimeter wave pulse modulation radar. The collected data stored in the disk array, then called and displayed by the user interface. According to the working principle of millimeter wave radar’s distance measurement, analyzed and calculated the related test data. The results confirmed the validity of the data acquisition system.
