Risk Management For Software Project Research And Application

This paper studied the basic theory and the trend of both domestic and international development in Risk Management of software projects and discussed the necessity of Risk Management. It emphatically analyzed and summarized the two phases in Risk Management, Risk identification and Risk Assessment, based on the in-depth studies of its theoretical basis and related technologies. The paper also discussed the basic theory of Risk Management for software projects and introduced and compared the classic models in Risk Management. On the basis of these studies, it proposed the introduction of Risk Relationship Analysis into Risk Management and established a workable method on Risk Management for software projects based on Risk identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response and Risk Update in Risk Management processes.This paper is trying to make new and helpful attempts and exploration, based on the current theoretical basis of Risk Management for software projects and combined with author’s current situation in actual software project development, for the purpose of more efficient Risk Management upon the current implementation of software projects, thereby reducing the impact of risks and increase the chances of success of software projects.
