In the era of people not satisfying with higher education, the society, family and graduates are deeply struck by the question of employment difficulty. As a university teacher, I also identify with it. While some universities claim that the employment rate of graduates is over90percent. Therefore, the thesis hopes to obtain convincing employment data via relatively true and effective employment data, and which is my origin motivation to write it.On the aspect of research content, the thesis includes6chapters. Chapter1: Introduction. The thesis makes a brief introduction to the research background and significance, research content and main innovative points. Chapter2:The theoretical and technical basis of performance appraisal of higher education. Introduce the relative theories of performance appraisal and the various technologies that the performance appraisal system the thesis designed has used. Chapter3:The research of current situation and problems of performance appraisal of higher education in China. Through the analysis of the delivery of the higher education in China, the thesis find that increasing the supply of higher education can not promote the quality of higher education, and localize the problem to the lack of effective performance appraisal from the perspective of total quality management. The thesis also analyzed the current situation and existing problems of the performance appraisal of higher education in China and proposed the concept of market-oriented performance appraisal and the idea of national college students’graduation exams. Chapter4:The analysis and design of performance appraisal system of higher education in China. The thesis analyzed and compared several commonly used methods of performance appraisal, and selected key performance indicators (KPI) as the solution of the performance appraisal of higher education, and made employment indicators, research and academic indicators and graduation exams indicators as key indicators of the performance appraisal of higher education. The thesis also analyzed the influence of academic research on employment, and adopted the technology of object-oriented analysis and design, made the domain model of class Students, class Examinee, class Taxpayer, class Insurants and so on. Chapter5:The realization of performance appraisal system of higher education based on Java EE. The thesis adopted Java EE as the solution of the system. On the aspect of system architecture, the system adopted the presentation layer, business logic layer and data access layer. In the mean time, in order to improve the system performance, the thesis introduced the MemCache server. On the aspect of the report of performance appraisal, the thesis designed a total of four sets of reports as higher education overall performance appraisal report, higher education professional performance appraisal report, higher education overall performance appraisal report between universities and higher education professional performance appraisal report between universities. On the aspect of the realization of the report, the thesis adopted the technology of JasperRoports and JFreeChart, and mainly used pie charts, bar charts and line charts, and used Scriptlet to fill and render the reports, which can both examine the performance of higher education and have a good user experience. Chapter6: Conclusions and Outlook.The thesis has three main innovation points. First, put forward the concept of market-oriented performance appraisal, which offers another thought for the reform of higher education in China. Second, analyze and elaborate the influence of employment from academic. Third, realize the performance appraisal system of higher education through Java EE, which becomes the forefront of the theory and practice.
