With the rapid development of new media, the information market has been changed into a buyers’ market, and the traditional print media has faced the serious diverting problem of advertising market. So the traditional media profit model of "Revenue from Issue&Advertisement" meets the developmental bottleneck.But challenges come with opportunities. These years, through conducting social activities, some print media companies seize the core value of their media influence, not only achieving good social benefits but also economic benefits. There is a trend that media profit model will be diversified and developed in breadth and depth.On the base of summarizing the related theory of media profit model, this paper will analyze the current study on media social activities. Through the cost-benefit analysis on the case of "21st Century Media", this paper will illustrate how the media integrate and arouse audience resource, information resource, the channel resources by using its influence radiation, to realize economic profits directly and brand value indirectly, exploring the sustainability of profit. For traditional print media, it may be a point of breakthrough in the new age of the media competition.
