The informatization of working management is a trend for all occupations. For the water-treatmenttrade, the focus is how to design a suitable monitoring management system, which can be integrated andpresented by an IT platform. This paper did a deeply research with this point.The most important goal of management in a water treatment plant is the output water which reachesall the standards all the time. To reach this goal, the plant must focus on monitoring the five main systemswhich namely Water-Quality Monitoring, Equipment Monitoring, Safety Monitoring, Cost Monitoring andHuman-Resource Monitoring. We made an IT model which was abstracted from these five systems. Themodel is composed by four factors:“human”,“machine”,“resource” and “procedure”. Then we structuredan IT platform based on this model, which can integrate the important management information by usingthe systematic reports.To build this web-based IT platform, we was programming with ASP.NET and ExtJS framework, anddesigned a SSO(Single Sign-On) infrastructure based on Windows AD(Active Directory) which canmanaged the multi-system web application group. To manage the operation workflows in separatedsystems, we built a workflow management platform based on state tables. We made an integrated ITplatform by using all this techniques, which can greatly improve the management of producing andadministration, and contribute to reach the main goal of a water treatment plant.By the construction of the “Systematic Monitoring IT Platform Of Water Treatment Plant ProductionProcess”, Nanzhou water treatment plant achieved the information integration of producing andadministration, and improved the management to a higher level. It’s a remarkable achievement, and has agreat promotion value in the entire water-treatment trade.
