With the continuous development of network and information technology, office automation in the various colleges and universities play an increasingly important role thinking of the need of teaching and research,demand for software products the university is growing, in order to maximize campus resources optimize the allocation of software resources of the school, we need unified reporting, centralized management, software declaration involving a wide range of personnel and range of data files, we need to provide a unified declaration of the software platform for teachers and students to promote the school information construction.Software application system is an important part of the school OA, one of its main functions is to use modern computer and network technology, to manage a series of application process by creating, modifying, and approving, deploying application forms. The Software application System which is characterized by processing the application form in the form of a process, and the processes often change due to the personnel changes or changes in demand. However, the traditional software application system is often achieved by hard encoding, once the process changed, the traditional approval system is difficult to deal with. School software application program has to deal with large amounts of data, involving many of the documents. Also the staff often inquire data from previous years’, it must be painful using the manual way, also a waste of a lot of manpower, material.To change this situation, we combine the workflow wiih software approval technology to develop this software system in reference to other similar projects. After repeated research, we finally decided to go the technical route of cross-platform development, using open source software and tools for the system development. Technically, this system is based on B/S (browser and server) architecture, using three-tier J2EE development model, combined with Struts, spring, Hibernate and JBPM framework for the development.
